The largest cryptocurrency by market value, Bitcoin (BTC), recently dropped more than 4% over the past 24 hours, trading at around $22,700. This is significantly lower than its Sunday peak of approximately $24,000. Out of the $117 million invested in digital-asset products last week, almost all of it went to Bitcoin-related funds.
Equities finished the day lower as investors looked forward to the Federal Reserve’s announcement on interest rates Wednesday and analyzed the latest fourth-quarter earnings reports from major tech companies, such as Apple and Meta. The tech-centered Nasdaq Composite closed 1.9% down, while the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dropped 1.3% and 0.7% respectively.
