Gaming, Metaverse, and Social Networks were the Web3 categories that attracted the most investment in 2022, accounting for $2.3 billion, $2.2 billion and $1.9 billion respectively. According to Metaverse Post’s year-end report, the Web3 space raised a total of $7.1 billion in funding during 2022, with Gaming, Metaverse, and Social Networks being the top three investment categories.

California DMV to digitize car title management system via Tezos
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is testing out the digitization of car titles and title transfers via a private Tezos blockchain. The move is part of a collaboration between the California DMV, Tezos and blockchain software firm Oxhead Alpha, with the latter announcing t successful proof-of-concept on Jan. 25.
